Second Hand Store

The second hand store is a new addition to HSD. Its purpose is twofold:

  1. Allowing customers to pickup uniform at a discounted price subject to availability.
  2. All money raised through the second hand store will go towards the purchase of show costumes and props.

Any uniform featured in the store will be given a grading* based on the below:

  1. New (Unopened) – Items that are new in the packet and equivalent to a fresh order
  2. New (Opened) – Items which are new in the packet, but have been tried on and returned unused
  3. Used (Like New) – Items which have been used but remain in good condition like new
  4. Used (Worn) – Items which have been used and whilst in good condition do show signs of wear
  5. Used (Training) – Items which have been used and show reasonable wear. These items remain functional but are not suitable for exams or shows.

You can access the store in the same way as the uniform store on the button below, but select “Second Hand Store” instead.

*Grading is determined by HSD on a case-by-case basis. Where in doubt as to its condition an item will always have been graded down. Grades are not subject to challenge

How Does the Second Hand Store work? (Scroll for all Options)

  • I want to donate items to the store

    Firstly, thank you for looking to donate!

    There will be a donation box inside the classroom with Miss Holly to collect any items. If you can send the items with your child, please, and clearly labelled as a donation in some way.

    Please can you also ensure that items are relatively clean and usable prior to donation.

  • I want to purchase from the store

    If you would like to purchase from the second hand store you can do this directly on the shop site, in the second hand store section.

    Please note that whilst we work through the various items that have been taken onboard along with whats in storage, designs may differ from the picture and what is currently sold as standard. All items will, however, meet the requirements to be used in classes.

    Items are priced based on their grade with varying levels of discounts.

    Items will be handed out, as normal directly to the students.

  • I want to trade items

    This option is a little more in-depth so please ensure you read the below to understand the process.

    1. Place your order for your requested items from the second hand shop to secure them
    2. At checkout ADD A NOTE at the bottom stating you wish to do a trade otherwise there will be no discount calculated
    3. DO NOT PAY THE INVOICE AFTER CHECKOUT
    4. Bring your items along to the next class you wish to donate back to the store. Ensure these are labelled in someway to identify where they came from
      1. Ideally a single bag with all the items in and a note with you or your childs name on
      2. Please ensure the items are reasonably clean and usable
    5. These will be graded and a coupon applied to your order.
      1. Where you have traded “equivalent” or “down” you will recieve the equivalent of  a 100% discount on your new item
      2. Where you are traiding “up” you will revieve a propotionate fixed discount based on the grading of your traded in items
    6. Once this is completed you will recieve an invoice with the final amount owed, if anything. As soon as this is paid the second hand items will be delivered as normal
