Uniform

The button below will take you to our uniform store. All uniforms are broken down into each genre that is taught.

Delivery is free as per the agreement I have with the supplier, in that all items will be shipped directly to me. I will deliver the items directly to your child at the first opportunity after they arrive.

Orders will be sent to the supplier on a Monday and Thursday.

Below the button is what uniform is required for each genre. Items marked “Classwear Only” may only be worn during classes, and do not make up part of the exam wear. As such these items are optional.

The uniform in the store is all to the exam standard that will be required when entering. A full exam uniform list will be supplied at the time but you will be expected to use the set uniform.

The uniform is labelled as Girls or Boys only to define which set they belong to. Children are welcome to select whichever set they are most comfortable with but must have all items from that set. Items that are not defined are Unisex.

Any questions please reach out.

If you would like to wear something that is not listed below or in the store, please contact me and I will see if it’s suitable for class and if I can source one for you.

FAQ:
1) My child doesn’t need new uniform yet, do I have to buy a whole new set to meet the new designs/colours?
Short answer is no you don’t. For now and going forward you are welcome to wear any of the old uniform that still fits and you want to make use of. The idea is to “replace as you go” to get into the new scheme, which frankly doesn’t differ too much from either schools previous designs.
The caveat to this is exams, and shows that require those uniform pieces. For both of these events you would need to be in the correct uniform that would be communicated out ahead of time. I will do this with plenty of notice and if you have any concerns please reach out
2) What uniforms do my child(ren) need for each class, and is it a separate one per class?
All the uniforms for each class can be found on the uniform page. For the most part they consist of a top part, optional bottom part where applicable, as well as shoes for those genres that need them.
Uniform is broken down for the most part into grade/skill blocks, which is how the store is broken down as well within each genre. You can go into your child’s relevant grade/level and all the relevant uniform is there.
Where I can, I have re-used uniform between genres. For example, Tap, Modern and Jazz all share the same leotard and bottoms and only differ in shoes. If you face any issues determining what uniform you need and what is optional, please refer back to the main uniform page for the lists in the first instance or reach out directly to me.
3) I used to have the uniform shipped to me directly, but that’s not an option on your site
That’s correct, I use a different supplier with a different set-up to how uniform was handled previously. The benefit to this is the removal of delivery costs as they will be shipped to me in bulk, and I will distribute uniform across the week to the classes. Orders will go out on Mondays and Thursdays from me minimum, but you can order any day of the week.
4) Can I wear/source my own items of uniform as long as they match colours?
The idea of the uniform is to encourage students to feel part of the class and set a “standard”. If there are particular items the students wish to wear, please contact me first so I can review. There may be reasons to not wear certain items such as safety, which is why the uniform is the only “approved” clothing. That said, the students should be comfortable so if something is missing they wish to wear please do ask.
5) There is no option to pay on the store, it just asks for a bank transfer is that correct?
Yes as this avoids additional costs being added just so we can accept cards. When you transfer payment please use your order number as the reference so its identifiable as a uniform payment.
Your order will not be placed to the supplier until payment is received, at which point your order will move to pending and you will receive an email confirming this.
6) I am being asked to create an account, can you not use the one I have already registered with?
Unfortunately not, they are two separate technologies, though we are working on integration but currently that comes at a significant cost.
The benefits of an account are twofold. Firstly it allows you to see what you have ordered previously to help with sizing and track what uniform you should have. Secondly it allows me to do the same to help assist with any sizing questions and planning for exams and costumes.
7) Is the second hand store continuing to be available?
Yes, however it is temporarily suspended whilst I go through it to create an inventory. I will be looking to get this available online somewhere as well so that its nice and easy to order and track what’s available.
